You will need to do some homework first: http://compnetworking.about.com/od/b...g_Concepts.htm -- Gary VanderMolen, MS-MVP (WLMail) "Pete n Loni" <PetenLoni@xxxxxx> wrote in message news:18A87BB1-FC28-4C03-9711-AA26B57FD035@xxxxxx Quote: > Ok I know there is some one out there that can help me out here. You have a long way to go. But lets go. What physical network do you have? How are they connected together? Wired or wireless? What computers do you have? Are these new? Did they ever work? Did they ever work on a network? Model numbers? What operating Systems in each computers. BTW they don't care if it's you Father-in-law or whatever. So let's call them for the duration computer 1 and 2. That' will make it easier. Are you, or do you want to be connected to the internet? With mail accounts? Who is you service provider? That's enough for now. When you answer these Q's we can go from there. BTW the help system works well in Vista. You might take a shot and help yourself with it and then we can just help fix the exceptions as you make progress. Your choice. Also, there may be many people jumping in here so be prepared for different personal help styles. -- BobF. |
