Mail Folder Size

I previously used Outlook Express. Various MVPs warned
about folders being too large - both number of messages
stored there and the absolute size. I now use Windows Mail
and I wonder if those same folder size
limitations/recommendations are still valid?

Enlightenment appreciated.

Windows Mail uses a separate file to hold each message, in addition
to the files used to keep track of which folder each message belongs
in. There's a good chance the limits have changed.
