Search Windows Mail by last name

I need to organize my email contacts by last name and
cannot find out how to list them by last name.

It was easy with Outlook Express, but now the new
computer only has windows mail.

How do I list contacts by last name?

Re: Search Windows Mail by last name

afaik You'll need to enter the contact info "Last name, First name".

Re: Search Windows Mail by last name

In the Contacts folder:
Change the View to "Details".
Right-click on the "Name" column heading, click on "First Name", then click
on
"Last Name"
Click on the "Last Name" heading to sort by that, or click on "First Name"
heading to sort by that.

In a Create Mail window:
Click on To:
Click on the "Name" column heading... it cycles thru 4 different sorts

RE: Search Windows Mail by last name

Thanks Dave, the first part of the answer you provided did not work, but the
second part "Create message" did work to put them in last name order. So
half of my problem is solved. Trying to get the "contact list" in last name
order still baffles me. (Roger-Vista Novice)
