Lost my personal folders

Don't recall doing anything unique. Exited Windows Mail normally. Next time i accessed my personal folders, excepting one, were gone. Is there anyway to recover?

Click on the triangle to the left of Local Folders and see if this brings
any
of them back.

Please quote the post you are responding to, so we can have continuity.
I realize some people think this is like IM, but it is Usenet.

Which antivirus are you running? Some of them are not compatible with
Windows Mail.

Re: Lost my personal folders

Most of the Norton antivirus programs from Symantec tend to cause
assorted problems in Windows Mail, although seldom immediately.
It isn't clear if Symantec copied the problem causing sections of the
Norton programs into antivirus programs with a different brand name.
If they did, just disabling the program is not enough; you have to
uninstall it instead. You then often need to run this cleanup program
to handle what the uninstall left behind:

You may even need to remove your email account under Windows
Mail, then restart Windows Mail and create the account again.

If this cures your problem, you may want a replacement antivirus
program that doesn't cause such problems. I recommend either
avast! or AVG, either one with a custom install that tells it to leave
out the part that scans email.
