| | Windows Mail can't open Inbox. Windows Mail has been working fine until today. When I click on the inbox folder, I get this message in the preview pane: "Folder could not be displayed. Windows Mail could not open this folder. Possible causes are: Low disk space. Low Memory." I have ~100 GB of free space and windows is only using 28% of my 4GB of RAM. I looked in Microsoft's KB and found two related articles, albeit for Outlook Express. One says to rename the folders .dbx file. I searched for *.dbx, but came up with nothing. The other says to clear any .dbx file of read only attribute. Again, I couldn't find any .dbx file. http://support.microsoft.com/kb/238656/en-us http://support.microsoft.com/default...b/299467/en-us |

OLEXP: Err Msg: "This Program Has Performed an Illegal Operation and Will Be Shut Down" OLEXP: Error Messages Suggest Low Disk Space or Low Memory as Reason You Cannot Send Message It sounds like you may have a stuck message in your Inbox. This will help show you how to fix the stuck undeletable email message problem in Windows Mail. Installing the KB941090 update will just fix the problem for now. You must stop the cause to prevent it from happening again. Read the section titled "FIRST" in this tutorial about antivirus and anti-spyware/adware programs to help prevent this from happening again, then install the KB941090 Microsoft Update in the section titled "SECOND" to fix and be able to delete the stuck message from the problem folder. If the other suggestions don't fix the problem, then the best thing to do is to upgrade to Windows Live Mail: http://get.live.com/wlmail/overview -- Gary VanderMolen, MS-MVP (WLMail) "Kyle" <Kyle@xxxxxx> wrote in message news:5879CA33-C2A8-41F5-A392-0D07DCFCE30C@xxxxxx Quote: > Windows Mail has been working fine until today.
