| | French Characters only in Windows Mail When I hold down the Shift key and click on the key to type the ? symbol I get the following French character: É I get French characters with other keys too when holding the Shift key. Any idea why this is happening in Windows Mail? Other programs in Windows Vista show the characters I expect from what I see on my keyboard. I verified my language settings are English and my default encoding is Western European (ISO). Spellcheck also doesn't recognize words with apostrophes such as: doesn't. |

| | RE: French Characters only in Windows Mail I have the same problem. It is only related to the ? key, and only in MS Mail. It used to include another key as well, but the problem seems to have stabalized or shifted. As well, my ' key only gives me a " in MS Mail. But if I backspace one I get the desired outcome. Very strange. Anybody out there know what's up with this. I also verified my settings and it doesn't apper to be that, same as for Amber.
