Hello.

You'll want to make sure your server settings are correct for your email provider. We also have an excellent tutorial on Windows Mail which may be helpful: Windows Mail problems

I hope this helps.

Re: Email Send Error Message

You left off the most important part of the error message, which
should have looked similar to this:

The rejected e-mail address was 'somebody@xxxxxx'. Subject 'trial',
Account: 'pop.comcast.net', Server: 'smtp.comcast.net', Protocol: SMTP,
Server Response: '550 relay not permitted', Port: 25, Secure(SSL): No,
Server Error: 550, Error Number: 0x800CCC79

Please post the entire error message.

Re: Email Send Error Message

The address you're sending to has a ")" at the end which should not be there
and the email server is rejecting the message for that reason:

hab@xxxxxx)

Should be

hab@xxxxxx

Re: Email Send Error Message

The error: The authentication setting might not be correct for your outgoing e-mail [SMTP] server. <followed by more, and an offending address>

I was seeing the same thing, but my mail would actually be delivered every time. Turns out I had mail with a bad address in my out box, and that was the address that caused the popup every time I sent anyone anything.
