Windows Mail Removed Access to Attachment

I have received a safe email from a know source. However I can't access the
attachment due to the following message:

Windows Mail removed access to this unsafe attachment..."

How do I find this attachment, if it still exists in my computer. How do I
tell WM to let certain senders send attachments?

    Thank you

Under Tools>>options, look on the security tab. Uncheck the option "do not
allow attachments...". This is the only way you can get access to
attachments. You can't specify this option specific senders. It is an all or
    nothing option.

See if this helps: Click on some other message. Then click on
Tools, then Options, then Security. If there is a check mark in the
box before Do not allow attachments to be saved or opened that
could potentially be a virus, click on this box, then Apply. Click
on OK. Then go to that message again and see if the attachment
now shows up. After you do whatever you want with that
attachment, it's a good idea to go back and click on that box again
to prevent you from opening a virus.

I am having the same problem and changing that setting did not fix the problem.

What is the exact error message? When you open that received email
in its own window, does it identify the attachment's file name? What
happens when you double-click on that?

Clicking on other messages and going back didn't help. When I double click
the attachment nothing at all happens, no warning message or anything. When
I right click on it to save it somewhere else it says The command failed to
execute. This happens on wmv, pps, and doc files.

Did you change the security setting before going back to the message
with the problem? If so, it may also be necessary to restart Windows
Mail for the change to take effect.

Re: Windows Mail Removed Access to Attachment

I have the same problem. The fixes suggested in this thread are helpful but
did not resolve the issue. I restarted Windows Mail after un-checking the
items listed and still no attachments. Can't understand this...VERY
    FRUSTRATING.
    Please help.

RE: Windows Mail Removed Access to Attachment

I am having the same problem and nothing seems to fix it. When I try to save
I get "the command cannot be executed" message. The only thing I have found
that works is to send it to my MSN account and open it there. Have you found
    a solution?
