Vista - Outgoing mail server help

Hi

I have set up an email address in windows mail using my gmail email as my outgoing mail server. Problem I have is that when I send an email it is saying the sender is the outgoing server email and not the email address set up to receive emails.

Eg

tom@vistax64.com the windows mail address

tom@gmail.com (outgoing server)

send an email from tom@vistx64.com in Windows mail

Recipient sees tom@gmail.com and replies to that

I would like them to see tom@vistax64.com

Any help much appreciated. Hope you understand what I am on about!

I suspect that some email servers won't let you send mail with
any other return address than the one you use to send it, though.

In order to use a non-Gmail return address with Gmail, you will have
to register that address with them first:
