    setting up windows mail

I am having major issues sending email. I am receiving messages, but cannot
    send anything out

Does anyone have an answer for this. I called Microsoft and they said it was
a HP issue. They could help for $59, which I think is awful. I just
purchased the computer yesterday an they are already pointing the finger at
    each other.

    Help
    pat

Make sure you have your email account under Windows Mail set up
    properly:

    <http://help.rr.com/AA/rrwho.aspx?ReturnUrl=%2fHMSLogic%2femail_help_topic.aspx%3ftopic%3dE%2bmail&topic=E+mail>

Also, what if any antivirus programs, antispyware programs, firewall
programs, and other security programs do you have? Some of them
cause assorted problems in Windows Mail, although seldom that fast.

If you have the Google Toolbar program installed, uninstall it; it also
    causes problems in Windows Mail.

If you have a program installed with SMS in its name, tell us its full
name; there's such a program which also causes assorted problems
    in Windows Mail.

Also check if you move any messages in your Outbox to the Drafts
folder, or delete them. If there are any that refuse to do either, let
    us know.

If you get any error messages when trying to send mail, click on the
messages and copy them into your next message.

You haven't given us much to work with.
    Post the complete error message.
