| | Re: Transparent window? No biggie. Just uninstall your antivirus, reboot, then try Windows Mail again. I think you'll find it works remarkably better! Then, at your convenience, download and install a more compatible antivirus like: AVG free edition: http://free.grisoft.com/doc/5390/us/frt/0?prd=aff or Avast free edition: http://www.avast.com/eng/download-avast-home.html With either of those, during the install phase you must select custom install, and then deselect the email scanning option. I've used Computer Associates (CA) antivirus without any problems for the past 12 months, but it is not free. -- Gary VanderMolen, MS-MVP (WLMail) "kheali" <kheali@xxxxxx> wrote in message news:5CDEDA91-CD35-4D32-BC99-12E307D57BE0@xxxxxx Quote: > Ahhhh! | | Re: Transparent window? Ahh Gary, I knew this was coming. I have just been biding my time on a wave of good luck! I will make the change a new priority. Can I get your opinion on WLM? Better than WM? Does it also act buggy with different antivirus'? Thank you. Kheali "Gary VanderMolen" wrote: Quote: > No biggie. Just uninstall your antivirus, reboot, then try Windows Mail > again. | | Re: Transparent window? I use both WM and WLM, but prefer WLM for email. It has more features, and seems to be more resistant to corruption damage from antivirus programs. WLM even tolerates McAfee and Norton as long as you configure them not to scan email. -- Gary VanderMolen, MS-MVP (WLMail) "kheali" <kheali@xxxxxx> wrote in message news:5924BC59-8D8D-45E7-800D-D424069E0A21@xxxxxx Quote: > Ahh Gary, > I knew this was coming.
