Go to Tools - Accounts to enter the information. -- Vista Home Premium 32 SP1 http://get.live.com/wlmail/overview "wintlord" <wintlord@xxxxxx> wrote in message news:#8AepHmpIHA.3680@xxxxxx Quote: > |

| | Re: how can i get the pop3 and smtp server information in windo Your email provider's instructions for setting up to use their email servers should tell you that, if it doesn't happen to be the default value. Many people choose their internet provider as their email provider also since most internet accounts come with one or more email accounts. If they haven't written instructions for Windows Mail yet, their instructions for Outlook Express should also work under Windows Mail if they don't call for the HTTP protocol. These instructions are usually somewhere on their web site. Or, tell us who your email provider is and see if anyone here already knows where to find their instructions. I think SMTP stands for Simple Mail Transfer Protocol.
