> chuknpt You may want to break your connection to the internet while you do this:
Start Windows Mail, then click Tools, then Accounts, then your email
account, then Properties, then Advanced. If there is no checkmark in
the box before Leave a copy of messages on server, click on this box,
then Apply. It's a good idea to also select one of the options for
eventually removing the messages from the server, then click Apply.
Click OK, then Close.
This should make Windows Mail at least try to leave a copy of the
messages on the server, but not all mail servers obey such requests.
