| | Re: Links to Website don't work If you have a browser other than Internet Explorer set as your default, contact the users forum for that browser. To make this work properly in Internet Explorer: Open the Default Programs applet, which you can access either from the Start menu or via the Control Panel, then click the first item: "Set your default programs." After a few seconds, a list of programs comes up. Click on Internet Explorer. If it doesn't respond with "This program has all its defaults" then fix it by clicking on the option indicated by the first green arrow. -- Gary VanderMolen, MS-MVP (WLMail) "Dotty" <Dotty@xxxxxx> wrote in message news:52578730-A11C-4DBB-96C8-13D30C36E363@xxxxxx Quote: > When I get an email with a website link in it and I click on it, it doesn't > take me to the website, this has been happening for a couple of week now. |

| | Re: Links to Website don't work For some reason (trying a new browser?) your Internet Explorer has lost some of its default protocol assignments. To fix this: Open the Default Programs applet, which you can access either from the Start menu or via the Control Panel, then click the first item: "Set your default programs." After a few seconds, a list of programs comes up. Click on "Internet Explorer". If it doesn't respond with "This program has all its defaults" then fix it by clicking on the option indicated by the first green arrow. -- Gary VanderMolen, MS-MVP (Mail) "Writer" <Writer@xxxxxx> wrote in message news:8540A8F1-95E8-441B-9A85-2CC537796B1A@xxxxxx Quote: > Quote: >> I have the same problem, except I don't get a message - when I click on the link in an e-mail, nothing happens at all. If I right click, I get a box with an option to copy, but not to open. I have read the dozens of other complaints about this bug and have tried every solution offered, to no avail. Can I resolve this by switching to Windows Live? I must say that Windows Mail is about the most disappointing thing MS has produced. |
