How do I retrieve my outlook mail using windows live mail (Vista)

    How do I retrieve my outlook mail using windows live mail (Vista)


    I have a new pc which has the Vista operating system. However, my old pc
    had the operating system XP. I use Outlook in XP for my email and now
    with Vista, I had to download Windows Live Mail. Would someone please
    tell me how I can retrieve my emails from Outlook into Windows Live
    Mail?

    Vista comes with Windows Mail, so I'm surprised you did not try that.
    Vista has the Windows Easy Transfer program which you could have
    used to transfer emails from Outlook to Windows Mail.

    Windows Live Mail is a different program which is covered in a different
    newsgroup: microsoft.public.windows.live.mail.desktop .

    You can certainly continue to use Outlook on Vista. Versions prior to 2003
    have some issues, but will run and Outlook 2003 and later are fully
    compatible.
