| Guest | win mail sends mail only after restart (+other crazy stuff) Hi, Just bought a new Toshiba A210 laptop running Vista. After composing a message in windows mail, when I press the Send button nothing hapens (note: the "send messages immediately" option IS checked). It gets stucked in the Outbox and is only sent if I close and restart WM. Also : the unread messages count (e.g (2)) in the folders list on the left is usually wrong, indicating read messages as unread and v.v. Also : at some point the folders list on the left totally disapeared ! I already tried the following : -reinstalled Windows Vista from the recovery disk -uninstalled Norton -uninstalled some SMS program (I don't remember its name) -installed Service Pack 1 -did a Windows Update It is still not working and I'm getting crazy... Any suggestions ? Thanks Basil |

If you're using one of them, you may have to do the send and receive separately by clicking on the triangle to the right of Send/Receive, then either Receive All or Send All, and waiting a few seconds after this finishes before you do the other. |

No, there is no Google Toolbar installed. I had also tried separate send and receive, separately also for each of two different e-mail accounts from totally different mail servers... Nada ! |

| Guest | Re: win mail sends mail only after restart (+other crazy stuff) After the Norton tool, remove your mail accounts, close and reopen WinMail and add them back again, as Norton sets up a proxy that is not going to work after you uninstall it. steve "alvagram" <alvagram@xxxxxx> wrote in message news:74D0A539-ED3F-428A-A233-A3A17C44F0C9@xxxxxx Quote: > > > "robertmiles@xxxxxx" wrote: > Quote: >> >> "alvagram" <alvagram@xxxxxx> wrote in message >> news:C2C3C226-2235-4D6E-AB73-5BBA034F9C69@xxxxxx Quote: >> > Hi, >> > Just bought a new Toshiba A210 laptop running Vista.
