Re: Microsoft telephone number

thanks, my problem is that my windows mail (i have vista) email cannot
send emails any more for over 3 days (it worked fine for over a month).
then, on suggestions, i uninstalled macafee antivirus, then changed the
smtp port from 25 to 26, then 80, then 587 but it still did not solve
the problem. finally i moved all the data to another directory, and
restarted this windows mail, but it still does not work. what shall i do
now? i am helpless and look forward to your help. thanks in
anticipation......

Re: Microsoft telephone number

With McAfee completely uninstalled (make sure!), remove your mail accounts,
close and reopen WinMail and then add your accounts back again. Also check
the website for your ISP and determine what ports to use for the SMTP server
and if authentication is required.

Here's the answer to your original question:

Re: Microsoft telephone number

Vikram, here's a program you may need to run if the McAfee uninstall
didn't clean up correctly:

Re: Microsoft telephone number

You should be able to get free help from your mail provider.
