Yes. See here:

<http://www.askmehelpdesk.com/email/import-dbx-files-outlook-express-windows-mail-vista-86458.html>

<http://www.vista4beginners.com/Migrate-from-Outlook-Express-to-Windows-Mail>

Bring along your .wab file if you also want your old contacts list. After
you
copy the files to a directory on the hard drive of your new computer, make
sure the copies are read-write instead of readonly before you import them
into Windows Mail.

If this import does not bring in your old contacts, start Windows Mail, then
click on Tools, then Windows Contacts, then Import, then Windows
Address Book File (Outlook Express contacts), then Import, then find the
..wab file and click on it, then Close, then close the Contacts window.

Re: Windows xp outlook express message'to vista (windows mail)

So, your new Vista computer is not receiving any emails?
Is there an error message when you try to receive? If so, we'll need
a copy of that error message.
What happens when you send an email to yourself?

Some email programs, such as Windows Mail, are set up so that by default,
if you send a message to yourself, the same email program that uploads the
message will then download it. Usually, unless you have set your email
program to request otherwise, the messages that have been downloaded
will then be erased from the server, and therefore unavailable to download
on
another machine.

Re: Windows xp outlook express message'to vista (windows mail)

As a test you should send an email to yourself from the new computer.

Who is your email provider? If they have webmail access, you should check
that email account with your browser, just to make sure there are in fact
messages waiting to be downloaded.

Re: Windows xp outlook express message'to vista (windows mail)

You can check your Verizon webmail here:
http://netmail.verizon.net/

Verizon is a bit of a mess as far as email settings, because it has five
different forms of email. You will have to pick your email service from this list:
