| | Cannot receive emails, but I can send them When I open windows mail I get this: Message number 4 could not be retrieved. Account: 'pop-server.maine.rr.com', Server: 'pop-server.maine.rr.com', Protocol: POP3, Server Response: '', Port: 110, Secure(SSL): No, Server Error: 0x800CCC90, Error Number: 0x800420CD I get the same error for all 28 messages which are waiting to get into my inbox. It's not an ISP problem. I have deleted all emails up to 2 weeks before this started. I can get my emails by going on the internet and using Time Warner Webmail, but this @$#*&^! Mail program is AFU. If it's not the continuing "Script Error(s)" I had with XP SP2, it's this problem with Vista SP1. If Mac had better games, I'd drop MS like a hot potato. I have Computer Associates Internet Security Suite. Could it be that? I don't think that I made any changes to that program prior to this latest problem. |

Also, did you have a Norton or McAfee antivirus program installed on that machine in the past, perhaps a free trial version that often comes already installed on new computers? |
