Sending mail to external hard drive

I seem to be having a problem backing up my e-mails to an external hard drive
or online data storage. I always get a message that says "Are you sure you
want to copy this file without it's properties? The file has properties that
cannot be copied to the new location" It said this for all 394 of my
messages. Any ideas?

Re: Sending mail to external hard drive

How are you making this backup?
The preferred method is from inside Windows Mail: File, Export, Messages.

Re: Sending mail to external hard drive

Hi, I did the mail, export, messages to a new folder. That part works. It's
when I try to send that folder to the external hard drive is when I appear to
have a problem.

Re: Sending mail to external hard drive

Some external drives are formatted in such a way that not all file details
can be
applied to files on that drive.
