Does any one know how to fix this it just started

Your server has unexpectedly terminated the connection. Possible causes for
this include server problems, network problems, or a long period of
inactivity. Subject 'Fw: Welcome to the Lavasoft network for computer
security!', Account: 'spop.east.cox.net', Server: 'smtp.east.cox.net',
Protocol: SMTP, Port: 25, Secure(SSL): No, Error Number: 0x800CCC0F

Does your connection to that server cross over from one internet provider's
equipment to another's before it reaches the server? If so, such
connections
to port 25 are often blocked to cause problems for spammers, and you need
to ask cox.net if they have set their outgoing mail server to accept
outgoing
mail through any port other than port 25. Just trying all the ports is a
very
slow way to find out, since there are about 65,000 ports available and it's
unlikely they have set more than a few of them to accept outgoing mail.

See if this helps:

Re: sending messages

When I reply to an e-mail or create an e-mail, the Windows Mail takes a very
long time to "set up" and allow me to begin typing my e-mail message. Is
this common with Windows Mail? For some reason, I have to wait about 7-12
seconds to begin typing. Why??

Re: sending messages

Try this fix for sluggishness:
Windows Mail Slow

If no improvement, upgrade to Windows Live Mail:
