I forced a compaction (by reducing the setting to 1), and there was no
completion message, only a "Compacting..." progress meter that lasted
several seconds. Once your compaction is successful, it should not prompt
you again for another 100 runs.
If you continue to have problems with compaction, try it with your
antivirus uninstalled.
