| | Setting Outgoing Windows Mail Send Program When I am on the internet and want to respond to an email address on a website, I click on it and Yahoo Mail keeps coming up instead of my Windows Mail program. I have checked my defaul mail program and it is set to Windows Mail. How can I have it bring up Windows Mail instead of Yahoo Mail when I click on an email address while on the internet? |

| | Re: Setting Outgoing Windows Mail Send Program This typically happens when you install Yahoo Messenger. Just because Windows Mail is your default, does not mean it has all possible default protocols assigned to it. The protocol that is mis-assigned in this case is MailTo. Open the Default Programs applet, which you can access either from the Start menu or via the Control Panel, then click the first item: "Set your default programs." After a few seconds, a list of programs comes up. Click on Windows Mail. If it doesn't respond with "This program has all its defaults" then fix it by clicking on the option indicated by the first green arrow. -- Gary VanderMolen, MS-MVP "Bill " <arizonawill@xxxxxx> wrote in message news:5E239821-E250-447A-BAD4-7DDD9EB5C358@xxxxxx Quote: > When I am on the internet and want to respond to an email address on a > website, I click on it and Yahoo Mail keeps coming up instead of my > Windows Mail program.
