| Vista Business | Vista - Email from MS Word XP Hi, Until recently I have been able to send emails from MS Word XP. Now I receive a message in all MS Office applications: 'The Message could not be sent; An error has occured'. Nothing I do seems to solve the problem. Could it be a security issue? |

| Vista home premium 64 bit | Re: Vista - Email from MS Word XP What e-mail software do you use? If you look into your error logs by; clicking on the start icon right click on computer and choose manage there will be more info there, you could also look into the computer reliability and performance logs which will also give out alot of info on what is going on. |

| Vista Business | Re: Vista - Email from MS Word XP Good morning Roy, Many thanks for your help. I have tired to find more details on the error but there are so many operations listed and I can't find one specifically referring to something I had tried to do from MS Office XP. I think I'll have to give up and copy everything from Word etc into a new message! This is supposed to be an improvement on Windows XP? Thanks once again for your trouble. |

| | Re: Vista - Email from MS Word XP You didn't say which email program you are using, but I'm guessing Microsoft Outlook. If so, most of the Outlook experts hang out in the Outlook newsgroup: microsoft.public.outlook.general -- Gary VanderMolen, MS-MVP "whinwhistle" <guest@xxxxxx-email.com> wrote in message news:f8f13dbd4aa5649f11f0621d7ef90660@xxxxxx-gateway.com... | Vista Business | Re: Vista - Email from MS Word XP Gary, Many thanks for taking the trouble to reply. The email I'm using is Windows Mail. I have also downloaded Windows Live Mail and that is the same - if I make it the default mail handler. I still feel it must be a seurity issue as it probably stopped working after an MS update to Vista. I had a glance at Word 2007 recently - the PC was also Vista - but I couldn't see an obvious 'email' icon on the new Word Screen. Perhaps MS don't want us to send emails out from Office applications any more? I can send the Word etc document out as an 'attachment'; that works fine from all MS Office applications. I can also copy from Word into Windows Mail but occasionally I get a page error message regarding Active X but the copy is still visually perfect. Thanks once agian for your help. I'll try the Outlook newsgroup tomorrow. Kind regards, Martin |

| | Re: Vista - Email from MS Word XP I have all the latest updates, and it works fine here. From inside Word 2003 I can click on File, Send To, Mail Recipient .... (with 3 variations). Choosing "Mail Recipient (as attachment)" immediately pops up a WLM screen. It may be necessary to have Outlook installed in order for this to work. -- Gary VanderMolen, MS-MVP "whinwhistle" <guest@xxxxxx-email.com> wrote in message news:675c81c5654f6ffa3d5aa1dadc1d9461@xxxxxx-gateway.com...
