Connected to telkomsa.net news server I get the following error message: Error Message: ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------- "Unable to connect to server." Configiguration: Account:news.telkomsa.net Protocol: NNTP Port: 119 Secure(SSL):0 Code:800ccc0e ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Operating System: Windows Vista Business Edition eMail/News Reader program: Windows Mail Internet connection: Via dial-up modem. Antivirus Program: NORTON - Updated & current. Reading eMail messages - No problem!; but .... Reading/connecting to Newsgroups/servers I find connecting to servers come up with above error message. However, after trying for more than 10 minutes, it finally does connect and newsgroup messages then download fine. This condition is prevalent now for past 7 days. This is unusual since I had no problem connecting to news servers before. I have not installed any new programs for more than 30 days. Please help. email address: groengtrs@xxxxxx |

| | RE: Error message: "Unable to connect to news server." Toppie, When you stated that you kept trying for 10-minutes, did you close out the NGs or just kept clicking on the NG folder trying to acess? My account was working fine until this past Thursday (6.12.08) and then suddenly began to get the errors. I am using Vista Ultimate Build 6.0 and receiving similar error notifications. Where you able to fix the problem? My email is parsonmr@xxxxxx if you would like to share.
