Contacts synchronization with Mail

I am reposting this second question as it seems to have been abandoned. The
full history is below.

Thanks for the response Dave, your response begs the observation:
If MS put effort into developing a Contacts application and it is severly
underutilized by Mail - what was the point.

My question is do you think Outlook would do a better job of addressing my
original query?

Beats me... I have contacts in Outlook, Windows Mail, Windows Live Mail and
Thunderbird. None of these use the same source.

Dunno, I only use Outlook for the calendar. It will let you create folders
for your contacts, and mail lists.
