We often need complete error messages, not just a summary of them,
to offer much help. Right click on them and copy them into your
next message.

Also, click on your Outbox and either move all the messages there
to the Drafts folder or delete them. If any refuse to do either,
download and install this hotfix with Windows Mail not running:

Re: Can't send emails

Robert,
Please see below for the error message:

The message could not be sent. The authentication setting might not be
correct for your outgoing e-mail [SMTP] server. For help solving this
problem, go to Help, search for "Troubleshoot Windows Mail", and read the
"I'm having problems sending e-mail" section. If you need help determining
the proper server settings, please contact your e-mail service provider.

The rejected e-mail address was 'llaster@xxxxxx@bellsouth.net'.
Subject '', Account: 'llaster@xxxxxx', Server: 'mail.bellsouth.net',
Protocol: SMTP, Server Response: '501 2nd @DOMAIN not allowed -
<llaster@xxxxxx*@bellsouth.net>', Port: 25, Secure(SSL): No, Server
Error: 501, Error Number: 0x800CCC78

The link you sent me to download has several options once I opened it.

Thanks,

Re: Can't send emails

The email address is not valid since the domain was repeated.
Remove one of the "@bellsouth.net" occurrences.

Re: Can't send emails

Is that the recipient's address or your return address? If the latter,
go to Tools, Accounts, select that mail account, Properties.
On the General tab is a box for "E-mail address". Make changes
as desired. Click OK.

Re: Can't send emails

Correct the email address first, since it's more likely to be the problem.

If you later need the hotfix, the two main versions you should consider
are listed under the Update information. If you don't know whether
you have a 32-bit version of Vista or a 64-bit version, download both
of these versions, but try to install the 32-bit version first. If it
installs,
you don't need the 64-bit version; if it doesn't, also try installing the
64-bit version. If both refuse to install, then try the Vista SP1 update
next, but expect it to take hours to install:

<http://windowshelp.microsoft.com/Windows/en-US/windowsvistasp1.mspx>

If that also refuses to install, or installs but doesn't help, go back to
the
hotfix description and try the WORKAROUND section.

If you can get to the message, one thing you can do with it is to forward it
to the correct address, preferably with the information about the incorrect
address erased. For the correct address, use @bellsouth.net only once
after the username, instead of twice.

If I try to forward an E-mail I receive it starts like it's going to do it and then gives me a blank screen. Help, what can I do?

Re: I can't forward E-mails

Sounds like your account in Windows Mail is corrupted. One
thing you might try as a possible quick fix is to delete that
corrupted account, restart Windows Mail, then recreate that
mail account. If that doesn't fix it, more drastic measures
will have to be taken.

That type of account corruption is often caused by interference from
a non-compatible antivirus program. Which antivirus are you running?
As a minimum, email scanning in the antivirus must be turned off,
although that may not be sufficient to eliminate all bad effects.
In a worst case scenario, your antivirus may need to be uninstalled.

If turning off the email scanning function does not resolve your problem,
consider upgrading to Windows Live Mail, because it is less prone to
suffering bad effects from overly intrusive antivirus programs.
http://get.live.com/wlmail/overview

Email scanning in any antivirus must be disabled, for reasons
explained here:
