Migrate Outlook Express to Windows Mail in Vista

I am unable to migrate my folder structures, and messages to windows mail.

I have pointed to the directory that has all of the MDX files, however it
says no messages can be found in this folder. I am not sure what is missing.
I look at outlook 6 on the old computer and it opens fine and has several
folders that have been created. When I attempt the migration I make sure
that OE6 is closed; Please note OE6 is on a different computer.

Any help is appreciated.

Thanks.

I don't believe .mdx files are the kind the import process is looking for.
See here:

After you copy the correct files to a directory on the hard drive of your
Vista computer (a directory you create under the Documents directory
is good for this), make sure the copies are read-write instead of
readonly before you import them into Windows Mail. Also, import
the whole directory containg these files at once, instead of trying to
import these files one at a time.
