If so, such connections using port 25 are likely to be blocked to cause problems for spammers, and you need to ask verizon.net if their outgoing mail server will allow you to connect through some other port instead, and if so, where to find their instructions on how to switch port numbers. Using a wireless connection is prone to such problems if your computer happens to decide that today it will use a neighbor's wireless server instead of yours, and therefore start the connection through your neighbor's internet provider. Just trying all the ports is a very slow way to find out, since there are about 65,000 ports available and it's unlikely that more than a few of them will accept outgoing mail. See if these help: http://netservices.verizon.net/porta...help/selection Re: Problems with Vista's Windows Mail http://help.lockergnome.com/vista/Wi...pict41095.html |

| | Re: Difficulty sending mail from sites that let me link to an ema Thanks..this is more complicated than I thought. I guess I'll just take the info from the sites and write my responses in Verizon or MSN. Its shows we really aren't on an open highway ![]() "robertmiles@xxxxxx" wrote: Quote: > > "Andi" <Andi@xxxxxx> wrote in message > news:49E646DF-FD30-4958-92A1-34220C73AED6@xxxxxx Quote: > > Your server has unexpectedly terminated the connection.
