setting a password

When I turn on my computer I have to log in with a password, which is
wonderful. Microsoft outlook express is set as an icon on my desktop. When
I click on it to check my mail then it just automatically opens. How do I
set it that i have to use a password to open it? I would like to be the only
one with access to my account. Thanks!

Windows Mail doesn't provide that function, which would only give a false
sense of security since any user with access to your files can read all the
mail you have received without using Windows Mail.

You're expected to log off of your Vista user account and later log on again
instead.

Re: setting a password

Outlook Express doesn't work on Vista. It was replaced with Windows Mail,
which has been replaced with Windows Live Mail.

Windows Mail and WLM don't have identities or a password option.
Security is provided by your Vista account password. Don't let others use
your account, create their own accounts if they need to use your computer.
Logout or lock (Winkey-L) your computer while you are away.
