Re: Error Number: 0x800CCC0D

The error message is correct. There is no server named smtp.cantv.net
on the Internet.

Is your provider the one featured on this website: http://www.cantv.net ?
If so, I can't read Spanish, or I would look up the correct email settings.

Re: Error Number: 0x800CCC0D

For continuity, please quote the message you are replying to.

Regardless of the correct name for the cantv SMTP server, you
can't use it while connected elsewhere, for reasons outlined here:
http://www.postcastserver.com/help/P..._Blocking.aspx

Your only workaround choices are:
1. Use webmail for sending.
2. Ask your Cantv provider if they have a port other than '25' for SMTP.
3. Substitute the SMTP server belonging to your current connection.
4. If sending from multiple locations, get a free Gmail account,
configure it for POP access, and use it for your sending chores.
Gmail uses port 465 for SMTP, which is not blocked like port 25 is.

Re: Error Number: 0x800CCC0D

Call Sympatico (Bell Canada) and ask them for their outgoing smtp address and then set it up accordingly

Re: Error Number: 0x800CCC0D

I just find the error in the url you leave, cantv.net doesn't allow to
conect out of Venezuela to their networks, so they block port 25 as
Sympatico.ca.

I have a gmail account configured with pop and works good.

Thanks a lot.
