How to eliminate invalid e-mail address from address book

Anyone please help,

I am trying to send out an e-mail to a list of 4000 contacts. Each time I try to send it, I get a mesage:

"The message could not be sent. The authentication setting might not be correct for your outgoing e-mail [SMTP] server. For help solving this problem, go to Help, search for "Troubleshoot Windows Mail", and read the "I'm having problems sending e-mail" section. If you need help determining the proper server settings, please contact your e-mail service provider.
The rejected e-mail address was 'name@domain.com'. Subject 'Something', Account: 'mail.bellsouth.net', Server: 'mail.bellsouth.net', Protocol: SMTP, Server Response: '550 [PERMFAIL] destination not valid within DNS', Port: 25, Secure(SSL): No, Server Error: 550, Error Number: 0x800CCC79"

I have tried deleting the rejected e-mail address and trying to re-send, but every time it comes up with a new rejected address. Is there a way to get rid of all of the invalid addresses at the same time instead of individually deleting each one. Going through a list of 4000 is taking me a long long time.

If anyone knows how to clean my address book of invalid addresses, please respond.

Thank you,

- A

Re: How to eliminate invalid e-mail address from address book

First of all, I doubt that your ISP would let you send to that
many recipients all at once. Most have a limit in the 50-100
range. So, call your ISP to find out what their limit is, then
divide your contacts up into chunks that size.

There is no way I know of to find all the bad addresses in one pass.
