trying to set new computer and i can't send e-mails! used same settings for
outgoing and incoming mail as my old computer it works. i can't send mail
from my wireless connection at home but i can using the wireless at work?
when i send, it shows that it is connecting then i get the error message:
    protocol:smtp, port 25 secure (ssl)no, socket error 10061 error #0x800cc0e.?
anyone have any ideas? thanks in advance!

Transcribing the error message like you did results in typos that obscure
the actual problem. Right-click on the error message, copy, then paste it
    into a reply here.

Did you use your old computer at both places before?
You're probably connecting to 2 different networks, and one of them is
blocking your attempt at sending to the other server.

Please state who provides your email address, and what networks you connect
    to at both places.
And post the complete error message. (right-click on the error message,
select Copy, then paste it into a reply)

    Not "cut and paste".
What happens when you right-click on the error message? Isn't there
    a 'copy' option?

Never mind, Comcast has been in the process of switching all their
users to a different SMTP port number, apparently without notifying
their users adequately. Use these new instructions:
    <http://help.comcast.net/content/faq/How-to-configure-Windows-Mail-for-Vista-to-use-port-587-for-sending-email>
