| | Logical option for creating email Message Rules. It SHOULD be possible to create a Message Rule when one is reading the messages in the inbox. One should be able to right click on the email and track down the drop-down menu to "create rule for this email". But at present the only way I can see is to open the email, copy the address (or whatever criteria desired), go to Tools>Message Rules>Mail (or News)>New and THEN create the rule. This is I feel an entirely unnecessarily long winded way of creating a rule, and the method I have suggested should have been included from the start. ---------------- This post is a suggestion for Microsoft, and Microsoft responds to the suggestions with the most votes. To vote for this suggestion, click the "I Agree" button in the message pane. If you do not see the button, follow this link to open the suggestion in the Microsoft Web-based Newsreader and then click "I Agree" in the message pane. http://windowshelp.microsoft.com/com...ows.vista.mail |

Just click Message, Create rule from message. -- Gary VanderMolen, MS-MVP (Mail) "Avery Tom Deacon Harry" <AveryTomDeaconHarry@xxxxxx> wrote in message news:95F41702-B4C8-4216-A27D-1A0032928157@xxxxxx Quote: > It SHOULD be possible to create a Message Rule when one is reading the > messages in the inbox. | | Re: Logical option for creating email Message Rules. My point was that the "Create rule from message" option should appear by right-clicking on the actual email in the inbox (or wherever). | | Re: Logical option for creating email Message Rules. You're right, it would be handy in the right-click menu. It's available in Outlook, but not in WLM, or Thunderbird, either. -- Vista Home Premium 32 SP1 http://get.live.com/wlmail/overview "Avery Tom Deacon Harry" <AveryTomDeaconHarry@xxxxxx> wrote in message news:759C3534-4736-44C4-A74A-867EFA961B4B@xxxxxx Quote: > My point was that the "Create rule from message" option should appear by > right-clicking on the actual email in the inbox (or wherever). > > "Gary VanderMolen" wrote: > Quote: >> No need to do all that.
