Outlook and Office 2007

Can someone help me? I have a new laptop pc with Vista and am also using Outlook for the fist time. (I loaded Office 2000) on the new laptop.

I am getting prompts to make it my default manager etc. I say yes, but nothing changes and I get these prompts every time I turn it on.

I am also having a problem now, my outgoing email looks like it contains attachements I add on, but they don't come through to the recipient.

I tried calling cust service, but they told me they can only advise if I had office 2007.

I have gotten a copy of it and want to load it on my laptop.

Question - when I load it, will I loose any of the emails that are already saved in the current version of outlook or any other saved files in, my docs etc?

Please can someone advise me?

Let me know.

Thanks!

Re: Outlook and Office 2007

Outlook 2k is not compatible with Vista.
Upgrading to Office 2007 will not impact on data files, but as with any PC
operation a backup of data is allways reccommended.
If you install / use OL2007, having previously used OL2k, there are some
other hoops to go through in order to ensure OL is using the new format data
file as its default.
But that is a Q best posted to an OL group, nothing in this Q is relevent to
Vista.
