| | Re: wish to back-up WINDOWS MAIL using VISTA First, backup your email to an empty folder on your hard drive: File, Export, Messages, Microsoft Windows Mail. Then copy that folder to external media. The above procedure only saves emails. If you need to save everything else (settings, accounts, etc.) see the long tutorial: Windows Mail problems and scroll down to he section "PROBLEM TWO: How to Backup and Reset Windows Mail " The easiest way is to use a third party backup product: http://www.staticbackup.com/windows-mail-backup/ -- Gary VanderMolen, MS-MVP (Mail) "casha" <casha@xxxxxx> wrote in message news:95F7ED6F-9024-41BF-AF88-894DA310A303@xxxxxx Quote: > .I am new to Discussion Group and Windows Mail. > > I am about to Restore my Laptop and I wish to save the Windows Mail folders. > > How do I back-up Windows Mail? > |
