Trying to export messages from Windows Mail to Outlook. I get the following
error message:

The export could not be performed.
An error occured while initializing MAPI.

I've searched this newsgroup and the cause seems to be attributed to Outlook
not being installed which, of course, is not the case.

Any sugggestions?

There are three recommended fixes in the article
(http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=179637):

1. Reinstall Outlook
2. Change MAPI settings
3. Replace Windows Mail with Windows Live Mail

1. Didn't work.
2. Didn't work.
3. Is not a fix to Windows Mail. It is simply an admission that, if all
else fails, use a different program.
