Any error message?
What happens when you send an email to yourself?

Re: e-mail in box

So you have two computers checking the same email account?
By default, whichever computer downloads mail first will make it
unavailable for the other one. To change this default:
Tools, Accounts, select the account, Properties, Advanced,
enable "Leave a copy of messages on server." Also select one
of the two associated 'remove' options.
Do this on both computers.

Please have patience. This is not some sort of Instant Messaging service.
This forum is manned by volunteers who donate their spare time.

Are both machines set to leave a copy of the messages on the server? Is
this something that just started happening? Did you always check the
laptop first and have changed to doing that second?

Re: e-mail in box

Apparently we are not grasping what your issue is.
Now you say you get emails on both computers? I thought the
problem was that one computer was not getting incoming emails.

Can you describe the problem in more detail?
