Incoming Emails

I have 9 emails awaiting to be downloaded. When 2 have been done, the third
freezes and I can not see other emails because this one is blocking them. I
suspect it is too big. How do I cancel that email from blocking the others
from being downloaded ?

See if you can log onto your mail server using webmail instead of Windows
Mail. If you can, delete the two messages you have already downloaded
and the first message after them.

Re: Incoming Emails

Type in Start - Run

Telnet

Then enter this in telnet using your user name for name and your password
for pword (also try pop3.earthlink.com and the other suggestions if
mail.earthlink.com not a valid server)

open <enter POP server eg mail.earthlink.com> 110
[eg: open mail.earthlink.com 110]
user name [Mail logon name]
pass pword [M,ail Password]
list
retr <message number from list command - 3 for you>
quit

Where earthlink is YOUR ISP

Re: Incoming Emails

Mostly correct, except you forget the
dele 3
command at the end.

Webmail is a lot easier... ;-)

Re: Incoming Emails

I remembered while up the shop. That's cut and paste for you.
