Vista - HP Photosmart

I have a new HP Photosmart C4180 All in one printer scanner and copier.which has a "scan to email" facility. This works only about 1 in 10 times of trying. HP helpline says that the problem lies with "Windows Mail" and that I should try Outlook Express. Could this be the case if so does Vista support Outlook

Don't confuse Outlook with Outlook Express, which is a different program
and won't run under Vista.

The problem is not with Windows Mail but due to the fact
that HP's driver is not fully Vista compatible. By telling you to
try Outlook Express, HP is in fact admitting the lack of Vista
compatibility (since Outlook Express doesn't run on Vista, you
would have to downgrade to XP).

Look for a newer Vista driver for that printer scanner.

The problem is really HP's in that they have failed to update
their scanner driver for Vista. I can't believe the arrogance of
telling a customer to junk Vista and go back to XP!
Outlook Express does not run on Vista.
Yes, Vista fully supports Outlook 2003 or later.
