Norton was origionally installed by HP...but I removed it immediately.

System Restore may solve the immediate problem, but the
same problem is likely to pop up again in the future.
None of the security programs you mentioned are an antivirus.
Did you ever have a trial version of Norton or McAfee installed
on that computer?
