What folder contains the Contacts in Windows Mail

Background:
I had sent my Pavilion 9260us Vista Ultimate to HP because the screen was flickering. I had backed-up all the folders and files. When the laptop came back they had wiped out everything. I spent hours talking with many HP techs but they couldn't restore my files using the standard Vista restore procedure. I had given them control of the machine via the Internet. But they couldn't. One told me that it will have to be done manually and showed me how. Took me eight hours to do it.

Problem:
When I click on the Contact list it doesn't show the icons to enter new contacts and create new groups. My Contacts folder is currently under Desktop\user\Contacts which seems to be the wrong place and might be why I don't see the new contact icon.

Question:
What is the right folder for the Contact list?

Thanks,

Pedhambe

C:\Users\[username]\contacts

Try right click a blank area in the Contacts folder>customise>in the drop
down box change the folder type to 'Contacts'>apply.

The correct location of the Contacts folder is \Users\<username>\Contacts
