SOLUTION: Windows Vista Very Slow.. Locking Up.. Freezing

I had read somewhere where Windows Vista cannot manage large files as XP
could.. and that a large addressbook would kill the system.. which is the
problem I was experiencing.

I could not open my Windows Mail app without long delays in painting the
screen.. and even longer displays in trying to open a new email to send..

My address book was around 10MB..

XP has no problems with this address book; but V ista apparently did. Once
I saved and then deleted all the entries in my addressbook, my Windows Mail
was robust again.

To Delete the addresses int he address book I opened the Address book and
left mouse clicked the first entry.. and then pressed the end key.. when it
went to the end of the entries I held down the shift key and left mouse
clicked the last entry.. and then pressed the delete key..

I readded email addresses for whom I had recent email by right mouse
clicking on them and asking the system to Post the Sender to my contacts
list.

Hope this helps someone else out. This was driving me bonkers for awhile.
