Good to hear your new WLM seems to be working properly.
WLM uses two different kinds of contacts, a non-synced set for times
when you don't want to use the Live ID login, and a set that is synced
with any one of your Hotmail or Live.com accounts. If interested in the
latter, post your request in the WLM newsgroup. To do a one-time import
of contacts from WM: in WLM click Contacts, press the Alt key to get the
File menu bar, File, Import, "Address book for current Windows user".
