Vista - Default mailer for Office 2003

Greetings...

I have a new Vista Home Prem....and I am using my Office 2003
programs...

When I want to sent a letter using the mail icon, it comes up with
Outlook.....I want to use Windows Mail......

Could someone tell me how to set my Office 2003 email default to Windows
Mail???.....it would save me a LOT of cut and paste...

Open the Default Programs applet, which you can access either from
the Start menu or via the Control Panel, then click the first item:
"Set your default programs."
After a few seconds, a list of programs comes up. Click on "Windows
Mail". If it doesn't respond with "This program has all its defaults"
then fix it by clicking on the option indicated by the first green arrow.

I don't have Outlook or Outlook Express on my PC and the fix does not work
for Vista Windows Mail and Word 2003. I think a fix is needed for Word 2003
to recognise Windows Mail.
I presume like all M$ stuff built in redundancy is the game and Word 2007
will need to be bought, if indeed that can handle Windows Mail. LOL
