Read and unread messages

For some reason all of my messages appear in bold, whereas previously all the
read ones would be lighter. I'm not aware of having done anything to make
this change.

Looks to me like you have been changing your Icon font size etc
And set the text to Bold?

"Right click a blank spot on the desktop and choose Personalize.
Click Windows Color and Appearance.
Open classic appearance properties for more Colour options
Click Advanced.
In the Item drop--down box click Icon!

Select the Bold button to deselect that text setting!!

OK Apply OK.

This is also a Global change that can be accomplished using the slider on
the DPI setting, but it removes the need to reboot.

HTH?

Re: Read and unread messages

Thanks - it worked, although not quite in the way you recommended. I went
through the steps you suggested, but the bold button was not highlighted.
What did the trick, however, was changing to a different font.

Re: Read and unread messages

Some fonts have their basic font characteristic already bolded.
