send to mail recipient

Hi, I can't send to (right clicking) to mail recipient! I accessed the
folder by typing shell:sendto in the run command and managed to delete the
send to mail etc but how do I put that command back. Thanks

Re: send to mail recipient

Why did you do that? I'm certain none of the regular responders
in this newsgroup would advise you to do such a thing.
You haven't said which email program you want to be your
default, so I will assume Windows Mail.

Open the Default Programs applet, then click on "Set program
access and computer defaults." Click Custom, and select
Windows Mail. Click OK. That should rewrite the registry keys
for the various protocols. You may have to restart Windows.

Re: send to mail recipient

The next step would be to install Windows Live Mail, in the
hopes that it would restore your 'Send to mail recipient' function.
You can always uninstall it later.

Re: send to mail recipient

Hi, I got it back by using system restore. I'll keep Live Mail in mind if
this happens again. I downloaded a program that might have caused the
damage so that has gone as well!
Thanks for the advice anyway, I get a lot of help from these newsgroups.
