creating and sending messages via windows mail

I use windows mail to receive and send e-mails. When i try to send an
e-mail through a website why does it go through Microsoft Outlook? My
default is Windows Mail. Also, recently I must have changed something
because when I try to send an e-mail, I have to click twice on the "create"
button to actually write the e-mail. I get "unable to create this
stationery" on the first click. I am not using stationary.

I wish Vista would have OE instead of what they currently have. I'm not a
big fan of Vista. Loved the XP.

Any assistance is appreciated!

Re: creating and sending messages via windows mail

Windows Mail doesn't have all its defaults set. 'Control Panel|Default
Programs|Set your default programs', make sure Windows Mail is the
default program and that it has all its defaults chosen for it. Note
that if you have Microsoft Outlook installed, every Office/Outlook
update you install from Windows Update, Microsoft Update, or Office
Update, will reset Outlook to be the default email program. you will
have to keep an eye on this and reset Windows Mail as default whenever
it happens.
