| | Message Rules Not Working I have applied rules for junk e-mails but they keep coming through. In addition to selecting the boxes for "where the subject line contains specific words" and "where the message body contains specific words" (these are separated by "or" in the rule) I have also checked the box "stop processing more rules" as suggested in another thread. The "delete it" box is also checked. Do the words applied to the rule need to be case sensitive? Any help appreciated |

| | RE: Message Rules Not Working I, too, have problems with Message rules on Win-Mail. I set up 2 message rules and they fine worked for a few days and then disaappeared altogether. I did a system restore, a scan of my hard disc, and set up 3 new message rules. Today one of the message rules had disappeared and I have no idea why. In each case I asked for the offending messages when identified to be deleted. -- John Provan "Don1" wrote: Quote: > I have applied rules for junk e-mails but they keep coming through. | | Re: Message Rules Not Working In order for new message rules to be saved they need to be written to the registry. Either your antivirus program or one of your other security programs may be blocking writes to the registry. Some of the security programs known to do this are: Ad-Aware Ad-Watch IBM Access Connections Kaspersky McAfee VirusScan and/or Antispyware Norton AV Spyware Blaster Spybot> Tools> IE Tweaks Spybot- Teatimer Spysweeper Spyware Doctor Zone Alarm (free) 6.5, reported to be fixed in later versions. -- Gary VanderMolen, MS-MVP (Mail) "John" <John@xxxxxx> wrote in message news:CCA5B8EA-F623-48DA-99AF-7DB077D9AAB2@xxxxxx Quote: > I, too, have problems with Message rules on Win-Mail. | | Re: Help needed for Message Rules for sending mails Sent emails can't be filtered, except manually. I suggest you upgrade to Windows Live Mail, which has a separate set of mail boxes for each account, no rules needed: http://get.live.com/wlmail/overview -- Gary VanderMolen, MS-MVP (Mail) "Praddumna" <Praddumna @discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:CB03BEC9-317A-4D83-8B41-4E3BB4E8878A@xxxxxx Quote: > Hi > > Can any one tell me how to apply rules for sending mails, like i have 3 > accounts and i have filtered 3 inboxes fro each but i am not able to apply > same for sent mails.. via different accounts.... |
