| | Help getting set up I have never done this but thought it would help allowing me to just click on whom I needed to email from a site and have it automatically go into my email. I need help setting up the actual incoming and outgoing servers. If someone could help I would appreciate it. This is the error I am getting. The host 'stmp.yahoo.com' could not be found. Please verify that you have entered the server name correctly. Subject 'test', Account: 'www.yahoo.com', Server: 'stmp.yahoo.com', Protocol: SMTP, Port: 25, Secure(SSL): No, Socket Error: 11001, Error Number: 0x800CCC0D -- -KatLyn |

| | Re: Help getting set up US-based free Yahoo accounts have webmail access only, no POP access. Windows Mail does not handle Yahoo webmail. There are two possible solutions: 1. How did you access Yahoo mail before? If you are happy with webmail via your browser, you can continue to use that. 2. Pay Yahoo to get their premium "Mail Plus" service: http://help.yahoo.com/l/us/yahoo/mai...iew/index.html and use the special settings for that service: http://help.yahoo.com/l/us/yahoo/mai...op/pop-14.html -- Gary VanderMolen, MS-MVP (Mail) "KatLyn" <KatLyn@xxxxxx> wrote in message news:6A92EAE5-E85C-402D-8288-99B72F637E5C@xxxxxx Quote: >I have never done this but thought it would help allowing me to just click on > whom I needed to email from a site and have it automatically go into my > email.
